Kevin Hilvert focuses his practice on advising and counseling healthcare providers on a wide range of transactional and healthcare regulatory matters, including structuring and negotiating physician practice acquisitions; developing and implementing various joint ventures, clinical co-management agreements, gainsharing arrangements, quality and performance improvement initiatives, recruitment agreements, medical directorships, and employment agreements; and providing instruction and guidance regarding compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws and health information privacy and security laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, the CMP Statute and HIPAA.
In addition, Kevin represents a broad array of healthcare and non-healthcare nonprofit organizations and provides legal advice and guidance relating to obtaining tax-exempt status, governance issues, private benefit and inurement, excess benefit transactions and other compliance matters relating to the operation of tax-exempt organizations.
