John Oberle uses his experience as a regulatory attorney, a public sector advocate and lobbyist to ensure clients' interests are well represented before state and federal governmental agencies, city halls, the statehouse and Congress.
The results he gains for clients come from experience as: a lobbyist for the Governor's Office; Chief of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Department of Commerce; Sharon Township Trustee; Principal of SZD Whiteboard; and an attorney at Schottenstein Zox & Dunn for over 5 years. This experience not only includes an understanding of the law, but includes how government and regulatory agencies develop policies that impact business.
John has a proven track record in the Ohio General Assembly and before governmental agencies. His experience includes extensive work in the field of business regulation regarding government procurement; liquor compliance; and financial institutions, including assisting with the passage of major recodification of Ohio's mortgage broker laws; assisting in modernizing the licensure laws for Ohio’s Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons; and assisting in securing the first major recodification of the banking industry in nearly 30 years. John's experience also includes successfully assisting numerous clients in Clean Ohio funding requests for brownfield development and greenspace as well as successfully working with interested parties on several occasions to develop new laws related to auctioneers.
